What is Summer Solstice?

The Del Mar Village Association Summer Solstice is held at Powerhouse Park each year overlooking the Pacific Ocean and is one of Del Mar’s most anticipated events. Attendees experience delectable culinary creations, enjoy California’s best wineries and breweries, and participate in a lively silent auction. Backed by live music and amazing views, this is the best way Del Mar celebrates the arrival of summer! This event is known to sell out in advance with an attendance of 700 Del Mar locals and visitors.


Why Participate?

Summer Solstice is a great way to help promote your business to hundreds of locals and visitors of  Del Mar. Summer Solstice sells out each year to 700 affluent visitors and residents providing participants with ample media coverage and exposure to many new and continuing customers in the community.

Restaurant Taste Guidelines

Restaurants to provide:

  • One serving per guest (1-2 mouthfuls) for approx. 700 guests from 5pm until 8pm.
  • Staff for serving tastes
  • All necessary equipment including cups, napkins, utensils, etc.

The Del Mar Village Association (DMVA) to provide:

  • One 6’ table and linen
  • Table signage
  • Event promotion, coordination, and venue
  • ABC permit for wine and brewery taste
